All ethnic groups have to get through this life together. Police officers need to be culturally educated. Schools and parents need to educate the youth about the importance of law enforcement. Criminals must be arrested, but not given the death penalty in the process. Killing the unarmed, whether a suspect or not is inexcusable. Cops identified as racist must seek other employment. This can be determined through valid civilian complaints, performance evaluations, and psychological evaluations regarding such a suspected officer.
Cops who kill unarmed people intentionally, recklessly or negligently must stand accountable. A life was lost. There must be a cost. Those cops (and supervisors) who have lied on official reports to protect bad cops must be disciplined also, because they are bad cops too. It should be adjudicated that a cop guilty of killing an unarmed person due to a racial bias against the victim should have his or her pension transferred to the family of the victims. Then that cop can get to know some minorities better in jail.
